Reuse those old candles and make new ones!

A few years ago I bought my daughter a candle making kit from Walmart. It had everything we needed to begin making candles. (See below) It sat in a closet and we finally dug it out. After experimenting for a day or so - we discovered that we could dig out all those old candles and remelt them - repour them and add some scented oil. Wow!

I place them on a candle warmer (the smaller one's) instead of using a wick and the scent throw is wonderful! It looks like we've discovered a new hobby and I'm sure they will make some great gifts!

We have mixed scents for some new and wonderful aromatic candles. Also I have learned that crayons make wonderful dye for candles!

For containers, reuse the original glass jars or buy cheap coffee mugs from thrift stores! And for cheap wicks - use birthday candles.
